How to report harassment, threats, or other abusive behavior.
This guide covers how to report harassment, threats, or other abusive behavior and identifies practical ways to protect people and get help.
How to make a useful report
Use the in-app report route associated with the content or account where available. The inspected app includes report flows for several content types and users. Give a specific explanation and enough context to identify the item; do not include unrelated sensitive information.
- Report the original account or item rather than reposting it.
- Choose the closest available reason and describe the conduct in your own words.
- Do not submit false, retaliatory, or knowingly misleading reports.
- Block the account if you need to stop further contact.
Review and follow-up
A submitted report is a request for review, not a guarantee of a particular outcome or response time. If the app provides an update or an appeal option for the decision, follow the instructions shown there.
What you can do
- Report the specific content or account when possible.
- Include context and links that help explain the concern.
- Block or restrict contact if you need an immediate boundary.
