Video Guidelines

Expectations for uploaded and shared video.

These guidelines cover expectations for uploaded and shared video.

Video uploads and viewing

These guidelines cover uploaded and shared videos and their titles, descriptions, thumbnails, audio, and associated comments or reactions. Uploaders are responsible for permissions and for preserving context when trimming, dubbing, or editing a recording.

  • Do not record or publish private activity, conversations, or identifiable people in a sensitive setting without appropriate consent.
  • Do not publish threats, exploitation, dangerous acts presented as safe instructions, or material that violates the Community Guidelines.
  • Use authorized music and footage; adding a credit does not replace permission.
  • Use the in-player report control for a specific video concern where available.

Playback and engagement

Video playback surfaces may display view counts and provide actions such as liking, commenting, sharing, saving, or reporting. The app's implementation and data-retention details for these events must be verified before being described as a complete privacy disclosure.

What you can do

  • Respect consent and privacy when recording people.
  • Add context when editing could change the meaning.
  • Do not upload exploitative or dangerous material.
